What to expect at your visit

Your first visit with Dr. Lee typically lasts 30 to 60 minutes. She'll review your medical history, discuss your symptoms and how they affect your daily life, and perform a physical exam. When appropriate, allergy testing can be completed during the same visit — most patients leave with a clear diagnosis and a personalized treatment plan in hand.

What to Bring

  • Photo ID and your insurance card

  • A list of current medications, including over-the-counter allergy medications and supplements

  • Any previous allergy test results or records from other specialists

  • Notes on your symptoms — when they occur, what seems to trigger them, and what you've tried

Before Your Visit

Certain medications can interfere with allergy testing and may need to be paused beforehand. This includes most antihistamines (such as Zyrtec, Claritin, Allegra, and Benadryl), as well as some antidepressants and heartburn medications.

Please do not stop any prescribed medication without first checking with our office or your prescribing provider.

If You're Bringing a Child

AllergyMD welcomes pediatric patients. A parent or legal guardian must accompany any patient under 18, and we recommend bringing a favorite comfort item or small distraction for younger children during testing.
